Crimes Nearby: DWI Task Force Nets 10 Arrests Saturday

Also: Westhampton woman stole checks from house she cleans, police say.

The following information was supplied by the East End police departments. A criminal charge is only an accusation and does not indicate guilt.

RIVERHEAD

Clifford Stokley, 57, of Riverhead, was charged with grand larceny in the third degree, a felony, on July 21 at 7 p.m. Stokley was charged, police said, after they reviewed video surveillance of him stealing an air compressor from Flanders Sheet Metal, located on Flanders Road in Flanders.

• The East End DWI Task Force arrested six during a sting in Riverhead Saturday night.

Five were charged with driving while intoxicated, one was charged with driving while ability impaired by drugs, and two vehicles were seized.

Among them were Shamir Euceda, 23, of Hampton Bays, who was charged with driving while ability impaired by drugs, a felony, and unlawful possession of marijuana, a violation.

WESTHAMPTON-HAMPTON BAYS

James Aldrich, 58, of Westhampton Beach, was charged on July 20 at 2 a.m. with felony DWI and aggravated unlicensed in the first degree, also a felony. Police said he received felony counts because of a prior DWI conviction in 2010. He was also charged with operating a car without an interlock device, a misdemeanor. Police said he was pulled over on Hazelwood Avenue for making an unsafe lane change, speeding and failing to stop at stop sign.

NORTH FORK

• Four motorists were cuffed when a task force organized to nab drunk drivers set up in Southold Saturday night.

According to Southold Town police, Kevin Manley, 34, of Westbury, was charged with driving while intoxicated, a felony, and unlawful possession of marijuana, a violation.

SOUTHAMPTON

• Maybell Rodriguez, 40, of Westhampton, was arrested on July 21 after an investigation revealed that she had stolen three checks from a house she cleans in North Sea. Police said she forged the checks and deposited $1,900 into her bank account. She was charged with criminal possession of stolen property in the fifth degree, a misdemeanor, forgery in the second degree, a felony, and petit larceny, a misdemeanor.
