Nigel Savage to Speak at Temple Adas Israel

Temple Adas Israel in Sag Harbor, NY is pleased to welcome,
Nigel Savage, founder of Hazon, for two talks during Shabbat Services Friday,
June 28th and Saturday, June 29th. 
Hazon, which means vision, is an organization dedicated to creating
healthier, more sustainable communities in the Jewish World and beyond. Hazon
has been recognized in the Slingshot 50 every year since its inception in 2008.
It has been recognized by the Sierra Club as one of the 50 leading faith-based
environmental organizations and Savage was named as member of the Forward 50,
the annual list of the 50 most influential Jewish people in the United States,
along with Rahm Enamuel, John Stewart, Sarah Silverman and more.

 

Savage will speak on The Jewish Omnivore's Dilemma during
Friday night services, beginning at 8pm on June 28th 2013. On Saturday, June
29th, Savage's talk will be The Sabbatical Year: A Brave New Approach to a
Simpler Life. Saturday services begin at Noon.
