LongHouse Reserve to Host PLANTERS: On + Off the Ground Horticultural Competition

At
the sixth annual Planters: On + Off the Ground VI garden invitational, a team of
recognized horticultural experts together with a lively Hamptons crowd will
review a spectacular line up of garden masterpieces of all shapes and sizes,
designed by illustrious artists, gardeners, and landscape professionals from
far and wide. Acclaimed judges Tovah
Martin, Paula Deitz, and Jack deLashmet will present awards to
winning designs, while guests will vote to award a People’s Choice Award to the
garden art ‘container’ of the year. The event promises to be a true crowd-pleaser
but also represents the quintessence of LongHouse’s guiding mission: living
with art in all of its forms. The event is hosted by LongHouse’s Garden
Committee Chair, Elizabeth Lear, and
founder and legendary textile designer Jack
Lenor Larsen. The exhibit will remain open through July 27th.
