Hamptons Take 2 Documentary Film Festival
Sixth annual Hamptons Take 2 Documentary Film Festival, founded/directed by Jacqui Lofaro, showcases 22 films December 6-8, "all docs, all day" at Bay St. Theatre in Sag Harbor, with Q&As after every film, and Audience Award.
Sunday, December 8, 10 a.m.-9 p.m. film segments are:
10 a.m. "Shut Up & Look" (58 min) by director Maryte Kavaliauskas, on reclusive artist Richard Artschwager;
12 p.m. "Zipper: Coney Island's Last Wild Ride" (76 min), directed by Amy Nicholson;
2 p.m. "Best Shorts Program" of 3 docs, "My Life in the Canyon of Heroes" (6 min), "Words I Love" (16 min), and "God is the Bigger Elvis" (36 min);
4 p.m. "Two: The Story of Roman & Nyro" (75 min), directed by Heather Winters, on songwriter Desmond Child and Curtis Shaw and the woman who conceived their twin sons;
7 p.m. Closing film and HT2FF Filmmaker's Choice Award is "Larry Rivers Public and Private" (90 min), directed by Lana Jokel of Bridgehampton.
