Community Corner

DANCE

Hippy Cool Productions, the entertainment company of East End performer and writer Lisa Bonner, is offering the alcohol-free “DANCE” for adults, 18 and over, at the Bridgehampton Community House, Friday, April 19 at 8 pm.

Local deejay favorite DJ Twilo will provide the music. Proceeds from the event will benefit the HOM Project, an innovative rock opera preformed by East End musicians to be presented at Guild Hall this September.

Bonner, originally planned the alcohol-free dance without knowing local school districts were talking about the need for such an event. “What I wanted to do is create a place to dance. I love to dance.  It’s rejuvenating, healing, refreshing, healthy, freeing and above all, fun.”

In talking about more about what DANCE offers, Bonner added, “When was the last time you spent $20 and had an entire night out in the Hamptons? My goal is to strongly support the young adult population of the East End and their creative, entrepreneurial endeavors, artistry and products.  DJ Twilo and her team will supply a ‘night club’ environment.”

In talking about the location, “We chose the Bridgehampton Community House because it is centrally located on the South Fork.  It’s easily accessible to all of us on the South Fork, as well as those west of the canal by car, train, bus, jitney or plane.  It’s a beautiful place, right at the Jitney stop, near the train station, and there are seven restaurants in walking distance for anyone to grab a bite before or after. Hopefully, our event will be supportive of their businesses and our community can have a nice, safe, night out on the town.”
