Children’s Program co-sponsored by the Montauk Playhouse.  Earth Day Bird Day!  Celebrate birds with crafts!  Stop by to create all kinds of bird-related crafts and don’t forget to pick up your birdie bling bag!

12:00 – 1:30:  Student Intern Guided Hike – Big Reed Pond


Directions to the Big Reed Pond Nature Trails: Montauk Hwy East to East Lake Dr. Go north on East Lake Dr. for approximately two miles. The trailhead entrance is on the right. Follow the dirt road to the parking area.  Bring water and bug repellent.


2:00pm - 4:00pm:  Fort Pond Native Plants


Living with deer, a gardening survival guide for Montauk presented by Matt Stedman of Fort Pond Native Plants.


2:00 – 3:30: Student Intern Guided Hike – Walking Dunes


Directions from Montauk: Rt 27 to Napeague Harbor Rd. (near Cyril’s). Park in the end lot. The trail begins just beyond the parking area.
