Lobsterman Rescued After Being Lost at Sea Speaks of Ordeal

John Aldridge recounts how he stayed alive when others might have given up.

John Aldridge, a fisherman who spent nearly 12 hours floating in the water after being thrown from a lobster boat off Montauk Point, spoke to the media about the ordeal and how he survived.

He said he used his rubber boots to keep afloat before a Coast Guard helicopter picked him up, 43 miles off shore.
