 I both live and work in East Hampton. My family first summered in Amagansett in the 1940s and now after many years of summering here with them and on my own I've made EH my home having relocated from New York City nine years ago.  I have both a Masters Degree in Clinical Psychology and in Clinical Social Work and completed my post-graduate studies in Family and Couples Therapy. As a psychotherapist for the past twenty-eight years I have  worked with people from all walks of life and have address a wide variety of personal and relaionship issues.  I also was  a grief and trauma consultant for the NYC Firefighters and Police officers as well for employees at major finanical institutions such as Morgan Stanley, Citibank and Smith Barney who were affected by the 9/11 attacks. With respect to my blog about the tarot, I've long been interested in it not so much as a means by which to divine the future (I'm not a psychic!) but rather as a way by which to delineate our Life Journey and the milestones we encounter along the way. Each card of the tarot represents a theme or leif motif which has universal meaning for all of us and the human experience i.e., "change, "motherhood", " justice". And each one of us has a unique narrative or story we associate with these ideas and concepts. By taking the time to study the tarot or doing a reading the cards can serve as guide posts for self-exploration and discovery. In my blog, I will also be writing about numerology which is the study of the occult significance and symbolism of numbers.
