The Catholic faith has been in Montauk since the 1760s when French Canadians from Cape Breton Island in Nova Scotia…More came to the Promised Land area of Long Island. The parish in Montauk was known as The Church of the Little Flower, and later renamed St. Therese of Lisieux. It remains one of the strongest Catholic congregations on Long Island. A new church was built in 2006.

We had a meeting of some of the wonderful volunteers in our Montauk Food Pantry this past week. They are making plans for our new location (in the basement of the school). Their plans go beyond just a new space—they are interested in growing our ability to serve. Their hearts are filled with love and their hands are ready to work. Thank you to all who help with this part of our parish mission.

Please bring non-perishable food donations to the church or the parish office.
