Two Mile Hollow Beach

Two Mile Hollow Beach is at the end of the Two Mile Hollow Road in East Hampton Village, admist the tree-lined homesMore and mansions. It's a protected bathing beach. It has a large parking lot where you can daily parking rates during the summer.

Dogs and driving on the beach are not permitted between 9am and 6pm from the second Sunday in May through Sept. 30. A Town of East Hampton permit is required to drive on the beach.

Egypt Beach
Old Beach Lane, East Hampton, NY 11937

Just past the Maidstone Club at 50 Old Beach Lane is Egypt Beach. Wiborg Beach is just on the other side of theMore club's exclusive beach. Neither East Hampton Village public beach has lifeguards or restrooms. And even though Egypt Beach has limited parking spots, that doesn't make it unpopular. It is a favorite amongst those who want to take in a breathtaking sunset.

Between the second Sunday in May through September 30, walking dogs and driving on the beach is prohibited between 9am and 6pm. A Town of East Hampton permit is required for beach driving.

East Hampton Fire Department

Started in the late 1800s, the East Hampton Fire Department was founded by local businessmen. Today, it is still aMore volunteer organization. Over 140 members makeup six companies that respond to structure and brush fires and major accidents in the East Hampton Fire District, which stretches from Northwest Woods to East Hampton Village's ocean beaches. The fire department headquarters is apart of the Emergency Services Building on Cedar Street.
East Hampton Colonial Inn

Wiborg Beach

Drive through the Maidstone Club's golf course and you'll come upon a road called Highway Behind the Pond, because itMore does just that –it leads from behind Hook Pond to the ocean beach. A favorite among surfers, Wiborg Beach and nearby Egypt Beach are on opossite sides of the private Maidstone Club. Wiborg is an unprotected beach. Between the second Sunday in May and September 30th, walking dogs and driving on the beach is prohibited between 9am and 6pm. Georgica Beach

The ocean beach closest to Georgica Pond, Georgica Beach is a popular spot for surfers. In fact, one area of theMore beach is a gathering spot for them. Others come to kayak in Georgica Cove.

Like other East Hampton Village beaches, from May 15 to Sept. 30 parking at Georgica requires one of the coveted village permits, which are free to residents and $300 per vehicle otherwise. A limited amount are sold. Lifeguards are on duty from 10am to 6pm during the summer season.

Scoop Beach

This New York City store finds itself at home on Newtown Lane with laid-back, "beach-friendly" garments. With it'sMore antique-style awning and white walls you may feel as if you are shopping in a Hamptons beach bungalow. The company consolidated it's smaller stores in East Hampton into the one large location a few years ago, with both men's and women's styles in one place. You can enter Scoop Beach from Park Place or Newtown Lane.
Main Beach

The most popular beach in East Hampton Village, Main Beach on the Atlantic Ocean has the biggest parking lot of theMore five village beaches. Main Beach is also home to the annual fireworks, which have in recent years been pushed to Labor Day instead of July Fourth because of nesting piping plovers.

Main Beach also is the only beach with a pavilion, which offers beachgoers food and cool drinks, and has a few lockers that residents can rent. Main Beach is also one of the few beaches on the South Fork where you can pay per day to park, Monday through Friday, because beach stickers are usually necessary from Memorial Day through Sept. 15. Village beach parking stickers are limited.

Dogs and driving on the beach are not permitted from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. from the second Sunday in May through Sept. 30. A Town of East Hampton permit is required to drive on the beach.
