Montauk Public School

At no other school on the South Fork -- and quite possibly on all of Long Island -- do students have as breathtaking a view from their classrooms and recreational area; some classrooms and the basketball courts and play area have a view of the Atlantic Ocean, Fort Pond, and the downtown Montauk area. Classes are for pre-kindergarten through eighth-graders. The school shows its ties to Montauk's fishing industry with wall-mounted fish throughout the building. A playground, a good walk down the hill, is the school's, but is open to the public.
