Southampton Shop Hop

Shop in the Village of Southampton on Friday. Participating merchants will be extending their business hours from 6 to 8 p.m. About 5 to 10 percent of proceeds from participating merchants will benefit the Southampton Center, whose mission is “to restore and renovate this historic landmark for future generations while serving as a hub to strengthen arts and culture for our entire community.” Participating restaurants will offer specials to customers who show a valid receipt of purchase from a participating merchant. Participating accommodations will offer special rates forthis Friday night stay.

Southampton Intermediate School presents Disney's High School Musical on stageFriday. Show starts at 7 p.m.

The Nutcracker

Presented by The Conservatory of Ballet and Danse Arts, catch a performance of The Nutcracker at Southampton High School on Friday at 7 p.m. and Saturday at 5 p.m.Performances dedicated to Kevin Cancellieri. Partial proceeds will go to establishing a dance scholarship in his name. Price: Adults $15, seniors 60+ $10, and children under 2 are free. All seating reserved.

Hearthside Cheer

Celebrate the pleasures of the holiday season at the Captain Albert Rogers Mansion built in 1843 by a successful whaling merchant. The Greek Revival Mansion will be filled with bountiful hors d'oeuvres, sumptuous sweets and an open bar on Saturday at 5:30 p.m. The Music Room will be filled with holiday cheer with a piano player playing contemporary and traditional holiday songs on a baby grand piano. The parlors and sitting rooms will be festooned with garlands of fresh winter greens and flowers. Colorful antique holiday decorations can be seen on the many trees that decorate the many reception rooms in the Mansion. Price: $50 in-advance, $60 at the door.

Bridgehampton

Oyster and Wine Pairing Dinner at Fresh Hamptons

Fresh Hamptons will host a special oyster and wine pairing dinner on Friday at 7 p.m. featuring Howard Pickerell’s Pride Oysters and Paumanok Vineyards. The six-course dinner costs $95 per person, plus tax and 20 percent gratuity. Paumanok Wine Club and Fresh Hamptons Rewards members both receive a discounted price of $85 plus tax and 20 percent gratuity. Reservations are required.

East Hampton

The Holiday Spectacular

Our Fabulous Variety Show for the third annual Holiday Spectacular, featuring show stopping dance numbers, holiday favorites and even Santa Claus on Friday andSaturday at 7:30 p.m. at Guild Hall in East Hampton. Meet Santa from 6:45 to 7:15 p.m. Hosted by John Mingione from 106.1 WBLI with radio supporting radio as proceeds from the event will benefit 88.3 WPPB.

Santa Parade 

The annual Santa parade, hosted by the East Hampton Chamber of Commerce, marches down Main Street and up Newtown Lane on Saturday at 10 a.m. Santa will greet children at the Huntting Inn after the parade. Theme this year is a "Disney Holiday."

GROUNDWORKS @ Hrens Holiday Open House

GROUNDWORKS will hold an open house in East Hampton on Saturday. Santa Claus will be on hand, cut and live trees for sale, the gift shop will be open, and a live nativity scene will be set up for select hours. A "snow village" will also be set up. Complimentary gingerbread cookies, eggnog and cider will be served.

St. Lukes Annual Christmas Fair

The St. Lukes Christmas Fair on Saturday will include plants, gifts, vendors, free hot chocolate, crafts for the kids, and free raffle for children with Elf on the Shelf book as the prize. Soup and hot dogs for sale. Starts at 10 a.m.

LVIS Old Fashioned Holiday Celebration

The Ladies Village Improvement Society invites children and adults to the free annual Old Fashioned Holiday Celebration on Saturday from 2 to 4 p.m.Refreshments will be served and Mrs. Santa will be there to greet you. Enjoy the spectacular dollhouse decorated for Christmas and do your holiday shopping at our Bargain Books and Bargain Box Thrift Shops. Parking in adjacent Village lot.

Holiday Open House

The East End Classic Boat Society will hold a Holiday Open House on Saturday from 3 to 5 p.m. at the Community Boat Shop in Amagansett, with a raffle drawing at 4:30 p.m. for the boat built this year, a Goeller dinghy.

Tree Lighting

c/o The Maidstone and The Living Room Restaurant in East Hampton will present the annual tree lighting on Sunday from 4 to 6 p.m.  The tree lighting event will feature festive activities such as live holiday music from local choir, visits with Santa, cookie decorating, holiday refreshments and more. Non-perishable food items will be collected for the East Hampton Food Pantry. There will also be a toy drive for Toys for Tots. A collection box will be available for new unwrapped toys throughout the holiday season. Beginning at 6:45 p.m. both the a la carte menu and a Swedish Christmas Table menu will be offered in the dining room.

Friends Bazaar

Art & fine crafts, small batch artisanal food products, items of quality large and small for every budget at the third annual Friends Bazaar at Ashawagh Hall on Saturday. Ceramics, jewelry, wood and steel sculpture, paintings, photography, cards, accessories, skin products, and more. Starts at 10 a.m.

Sag Harbor

Hamptons Take 2 Documentary Film Festival

The sixth annual Hamptons Take 2 Documentary Film Festival showcases 22 films from Friday through Sunday at Bay Street Theatre in Sag Harbor, with Q&As after every film, and Audience Award. Check the calendar for screening times.

Harbor Bells Christmas Concert

Harbor Bells, an English Hand Bell Choir, will hold an annual Christmas concert on Saturday at St. Andrew's Church in Sag Harbor at 4 p.m. The choir always collects canned goods for the local food pantries and gives a donation to the various pantries to give back to the community.

North Fork

Holiday House Tour

Cutchogue. December 7, 12:30 p.m. - 3:30 p.m. Join us for this festive Holiday House Tour! Four beautifully decorated homes will open their doors for this event. Enjoy wine tasting, appetizers, and desserts. Homes are paired with a vineyard, restaurant or business. Tour begins at 12:30 p.m. and last entry will be at 3:30.

Riverhead

Pet Photos With Santa

Martha Clara Vineyards. Sound Avenue, Riverhead. Sunday; 11 a.m. Pets can pose with Santa at Kent Animal Shelter's annual holiday social! Pro photographer Kathleen O'Donnell will be there to take great shots and get them to you to display during the holiday season, send to friends and family, and keep forever. Minimum donation of $10.

More Santa and Pet Photo Ops

Or, head over to Talmage Farm Agway on Osborn Avenue on Saturday at 10 a.m. for a chance to take some pictures of your pooch sitting with Santa. Pets of all shapes and sizes welcome. This is a free opportunity and they’ll even take some photos with children. Plus, they will email your FREE photo to you, making it easier to print copies, send to your friends, make holiday cards or use as a new screensaver!

Christmas at Hallockville

Hallockville Museum Farm, 6038 Sound Avenue. Sunday; 12 noon. Experience the traditions of Victorian Christmas in the Hallock Homestead and Polish Christmas in the Cichanowicz Farmhouse complete with the sights, sounds and aromas of the holidays! Admission also includes: children's activities, woodworking demonstrations, antique toy exhibit, traditional holiday music, horse-drawn carriage rides, plus fresh-baked mince tarts, babka, cider and hot chocolate.
