Hamptons Agenda: Street Fair, Swim Challenge and Cocktail Benefits

Top events across the Hamptons July 27 and 28.

If you're looking for something else to do this weekend other than cool off in the water, you've come to the right place. EAST HAMPTON

Cocktail Reception: 
The Third Annual Twilight Cocktail Reception
to benefit Chabad Lubavitch of the Hamptons will be held at a private home in East Hampton on Sunday from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. Couvert: $200

Fair: The Ladies' Village Improvement Society will hold a fair on Saturday on Main Street, starting at 10:00 a.m. The fair will feature activities for kids, a silent Auction, half off in Bargain Books, clam bar, Lions Club BBQ and much more.

Author Talk: BookHampton, 41 Main Street, will welcome Louis Begley, who will discuss his latest book, Memories of a Marriage on Saturday at 5 p.m. 

BRIDGEHAMPTON

Music Festival: The Bridgehampton Chamber Music Festival, which is celebrating its 30th year, will be held on Saturday at 6:30 p.m. at the Atlantic Golf Club, 1040 Scuttle Hole Road. For ticket information, call 212-741-9073.

Chefs Dinner: Top Manhattan and Hamptons chefs will be featured at 
the 2013 Chefs Dinner on Sunday, July 28 at 5:30 p.m. at the Hayground School campus, 151 Mitchell Lane as a benefit for Hayground School’s Jeff’s Kitchen and the Jeff Salaway Scholarship Fund.  Tickets for the cocktail party only are $175 per person.  Tickets for the dinner and the cocktail party are $1,000. 

SAG HARBOR

Slow Food Dinner: 
This benefit for Slow Food East End will be held on Saturday at Dodds & Eder, 11 Bridge Street, Sag Harbor. Cocktail hour and and appetizers will be held from 5:30 - 7:00 pm . Tickets for the cocktail party are $75.00 each. The Family-Style dinner will be held from 7:00 - 9:00 p.m. Tickets are $150 each. 

Dance: The Bay Street theater is hosting an evening of dancing with DJ 
Karin Ward, starting at 10:30 p.m. Tickets are $25- 35

MONTAUK

Cocktail Party
This event, which will be held at Gurney's on Saturday at 6:00 p.m. will benefit the Retreat. $25.00 admission includes music by DJ Dodge, spa product giveaways, spa hors d'oeuvres, complimentary cocktails & spa services and a $10 shopping credit.  

Swim Challenge: Take the Montauk Swim Challenge, geared for all ages on Saturday at 7 a.m. The cost to participate is $25 youth and $35 adult.

WATER MILL

Devil's Heaven Benefit: This 20th annual benefit will be held on Saturday at 6 p.m. at The Watermill Center, 39 Watermill Towd Road. Cocktail tickets $500, Dinner tickets starting at $1000. 


SOUTHAMPTON

Art Exhibit: 
The 46th annual Saint John’s Church art exhibit will open on Saturday at 5:30 p.m. with a preview cocktail party. Tickets are $50. 

SAGAPONACK

Animal Benefit: THe Gimme Shelter Animal Rescue group is holding its second annual summer benefit on Saturday at 5 p.m. at 214 Toppings Path. Tickets are $75 in advance $100 at the door


QUOGUE

Quidditch Returns: The Quidditch Champagne Cup will be held on Saturday at 2 p.m. VFW Post 5350, 125 Montauk Highway. The event is free to spectators and $15 to play. 

HAMPTON BAYS

Artist Show and Sale: Volunteers from the Southampton Animal Shelter will be selling their art on Saturday at the shelter, 30 West Montauk Highway, starting at 10:00 a.m. 

Quilt Exhibit: The Eastern Long Island Quilters Guild & The Hampton Bays Historical Society will be showing off quilts on Saturday and Sunday, starting each day at 10:00 a.m. at the Prosper King House, 116 West Montauk Hwy.

SOUTHOLD

Painting Party:
 The Artists and Carafes of the North Fork are holding a BYOB painting party event on Saturday at Port of Egypt Marine, Club 46, 62300 Main Road. Two sessions are being offered, 1:30 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. and 6:30 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. All are welcome.

Yard Sale Benefit: SAVES Cat rescue is holding a yard sale on Saturday from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. at 2875 Hortons Lane.

MATTITUCK

Author Visit: 
BookHampton, 50 Love Lane will welcome Betsy Prioleau, who will discuss and sign her new book, Swoon, on Saturday at 4 p.m. 


RIVERHEAD

Country Fest LIThe 2013 Country Fest will be held Saturday and Sunday at the beautiful Dorothy P. Flint 4-H Camp, 3186 Sound Avenue. The event, which starts at 11:00 a.m. each day, will feature 12 Country music band, local vendors, a carnival, monster trucks, crafts, beer & BBQ, kids events, and line dancing lessons. Tickets are $10 and kids ages 10 and under are free. 

Art Exhibit: The North Shore Art Guild’s 1st annual En Pleain Aire art Exhibit will take place on Saturday and Sunday from noon to 6 p.m at Cornell University’s Long Island Horticultural Research and Extension Center. The event is free. 

Fundraiser for Athen's Grill: Help rebuild the grill by attending a fundraiser at the Suffolk Theater on Saturday at 7 p.m. The cost: $20 per person. 

Puppet Show: The Suffolk Theater is hosting a puppet show and workshop on Saturday. Doors open at 11 a.m. with a lunch menu available. Tickets are $12 - children; $15 - adults. 
 
Historical Exhibit: Learn about Sound Avenue's grange at the Hallockville Museum Farm on Saturday or Sunday. The exhibit is open from noon to 4 p.m. each day. 

Barn Dance: The Hallockville Museum Farm is hosting its 11th annual barn dance on Saturday at 6:30 p.m. Tickets are $25; children ages 5-12 $5, under 5 are free.

WADING RIVER

Farmers Market: The Wading River Market, 302 North Country Road, will be open on Sunday from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., selling free range eggs, local vegetables, fresh cut flowers, jams, soaps, fresh juices, cookies, cakes and  more.
