KidFest Drums into Guild Hall; Celebrate Chuck Close at Gala

Monday

-- Monday Night Movie: Grace Paley: Collected Shorts will be featured at the Jewish Center of the Hamptons in East Hampton at 8 p.m.

Tuesday

Theater Opening Night: Bay Street Theatre's production of "A Funny Thing Happened on the Way to the Forum" opens at 8 p.m. Call the box office at 631-725-9500 for tickets to opening night, or a future showdate.

Wednesday

-- KidFEST BAM Percussion – The Blue Barrel Show: The art of comedy-percussion in a one-hour show at Guild Hall in East Hampton, starting at 5 p.m. Price: Adults $16/$14 members; Kids $13/$11 members. Also, there's a hands-on arts and crafts workshop before the show at 4 p.m.

Thursday

-- Bookhampton welcomes Peter Gethers: Peter Gethers will discuss and sign his new book, "ASK BOB," at the East Hampton Bookhampton location at 7 p.m.

Friday

-- Guild Hall Summer Gala Celebrating Chuck Close: Guild Hall's summer gala will be held at the home of Louise and Leonard Riggio in Bridgehampton. First, guests will get an exclusive VIP preview of the Chuck Close: Recent Works exhibition at Guild Hall from 5-7 p.m. Cocktails and tented sit-down dinner immediately to follow at the Riggio home. Price: Tickets begin at $500 for exhibition preview and cocktails and $1,200 for entire evening (Young Patrons 21-40: $100/$500).
