Monday

Vacation Story & Craft: The Amagansett Library will host a vacation day story time and craft for elementary ages children at 2:15 p.m.

Tuesday
New Year's Eve - Town offices open from 9 a.m. to noon, recycling centers open from 7 a.m. to noon.

First Story Time: The Amagansett Library will hold a story time at 10:15 a.m.

Wednesday

Happy New Year!

East Hampton Polar Bear Plunge: The 13th annual Polar Bear Plunge takes place at Main Beach at 1 p.m. The cost to plunge is $30. Registration starts at 11 a.m. Proceeds go to the food pantries in East Hampton Town. Prizes for best costumes. 

Begin at "The End"Join a State Park naturalist on this scavenger hunt-like hike through Camp Hero State Park at 1 p.m. Hikers will meet at the Camp Hero bluff parking lot. Parking is free. Price: $4 for adults, $3 for children, and children under 3 for free.

Thursday

Town Swearing In Ceremony and Reorganizational Meeting:  The public is invited to attend a swearing reception at Town Hall at 9 a.m., with the swearing in at 9:30 a.m., followed by the re-organizational meeting scheduled to begin at 10 a.m.

Screening: The Friends of the Montauk Library will screen "Blackfish" at the library at 7 p.m. The movie is free. Refreshments will be served.

Friday

Movie: "Ice Age" will be shown at the Amagansett Library 2:15 p.m. Snacks will be served.

Saturday

Snow Globe Story and Craft: The Amagansett Library will host this family-friendly craft at 3:30 p.m.

Crossroads Teen Music Month: Teen bands will play live at the Amagansett Library at 7 p.m. Soft drinks will be provided.
