Back to School; Drive to Educate Golf Tournament

A look at what's ahead for the week.


Here's a taste of what's head for the week — the first full week back at school for all students.

1. Back to School

In most of the Town of East Hampton, kids are headed back to school Monday morning. Send us your back to school photos. Email Taylor.Vecsey@patch.com. 

2. Drive to Educate Golf Tournament

Greater East Hampton Education Foundation will host its annual "Drive to Educate Golf Tournament" on Wednesday at the East Hampton Golf Club. Registration and lunch starts at 11:30 a.m. Shotgun start 1 p.m. Two hour open bar and cocktail party 5:30 p.m. Foursome $1,500. Individual player $375. Sponsorships including tee and flag sponsors available for purchase.

3. North Fork Winery & Garden Tour

On Thursday, join LongHouse Reserve for a personal tour of Dennis Schrader’s and Bill Smith’s remarkable gardens on the North Fork, which are known for showcasing every theme imaginable. Lunch will be hosted by the owners of Landcraft Environments and the afternoon will include a tour of Shinn Winery, the first East Coast vineyard to be solely powered by alternative energy.

4. Boot Camp

This fourth annual Boot Camp is a fundraiser to benefit The Retreat. Join Gurney's Inn on Saturday at 9 a.m. for an outdoor 60-minute boot camp class. The suggested individual donation is $25.

5. Amagansett Art: Across the Years - Red Dot Party

The Red Dot Party in the Jackson carriage house behind Miss Amelia's Cottage on Main Street in Amagansett will be held on Saturday and Sunday from 2 to 6 p.m. Exhibition and sale of artwork in various media by notable local artists, to benefit the Amagansett Historical Association.
