The East Hampton Town and Village Emergency Operations Center will be shutting down at 3 p.m. on Friday.

The emergency operations center phone numbers will no longer be in use. The public should now use 631-537-7575 to contact the town police and 631-324-0777 to contact the village police, for non-emergency situations. As always, use 911 in case of emergency.

The state of emergency remains in effect for both the Town and Village until further notice.

Earlier on Friday, Village Police Captain Mike Tracey said the call volume had been light.

Sending a huge thank you to our wonderful neighbors Owen and Xavier McCormack and Kyle Brierley for helping to clear our driveway this morning. Also, to our son-in-law Don Brierley for providing transportation to and from Hampton Bays today. Ron and I are so very grateful for your kindness . You are the BEST....Ron and Mary Humphreys
