Sag Harbor's John Jermain Library and Canio's Books present an annual read in
of the work of black American writers.
Tonight we present the reading recorded last February.
It includes the work of Langston Hughes, Alex Haley, Beverly Wiggins Wells,
Barbara Whitehead Brewster and Dr. M.L.King - his "Letter from a Birmingham Jail".
The readers are Gerald Shephard of Stony Brook U. and JoAnne Carter, Gloria Primm Brown and Michael Butler of Sag Harbor.
