BLOGGING about MY Political Bias….in BLOGS

I went to George Washington University In D.C. because I wanted to be involved with politics. By the time I graduated in FEB 1976, with BA in Political Science, I had been a Paid intern of a U.S. Congressman who was a Democrat. Worked in a Presidential campaign in 1972 doing polls about 18 year olds (required for course I was taking) for the Republicans, and then did a full time deal at D.C. Public Interest Research Group or as we called it, D.C. PIRG (founded by Ralph Nador). I knew Watergate figures that went to prison, I knew a Democratic Congressman who also went to prison…..so what's my point? I was trained to have a bias to get behind petty politics and find what may be the essence of issues. Who supports issues and why, and who opposes them and why. I actually was paid by the U.S. House of Representative  in 1973 to do this, all be it as an intern for a US Congressman who also was running for Mayor of New York. Every Bill presented in that Congress I wrote 3 paragraphs why one should vote for the bill and why someone should vote against the bill.

Local politics can either be the most vicious or the most civil depending on the Town and the candidates. There are civil and vicious elections in the same town. LOL ! My point is there are times I seemed bias on this BLOG on many issues.  I have never went after anyone I disliked but no doubt buttered up a few people I did like, but always trying to contain myself.

Lastly I admit when I am wrong, and I always love what Ben Franklin said in this quote, "We are all born ignorant, but one must work hard to remain stupid."
