PHOTOS: Artists Continue to Support The Retreat

For the past 17 years, the Artists Against Abuse benefit has raised money for domestic violence shelter and advocacy group.

This year marks the 25th anniversary for The Retreat and supporters celebrated at the annual Artists Against Abuse benefit, which has been held for the past 17 years. The gala, with more than 250 friends and supporters, was held at the fieldhouse on Saturday night.

This year, The Retreat bestowed the Hope Award to philanthropist and jewelry designer Joan Hornig and to Sag Harbor artist Dan Rizzie. There was a live auction after dinner, with auctioneer Nicholas Lowry, where guests were able to bid on several original works of art by well-known artists. The money that was raised, will help women and children in crisis. The Retreat in the only domestic violence agency on the East End offering comprehensive services to both women and children.

The evening's festivities was hosted by broadcaster Bonnie Grice.
