Guide to Outdoor Movies in East Hampton Town

From Montauk to East Hampton, there are plenty of opportunities to catch a flick under the stars this summer.

Feel like going to the movies, but don't feel like being cooped up inside during this beautiful summer weather?

Not a problem in East Hampton, where there are plenty of outdoor movie screenings scheduled. So grab a blanket or a lawn chair, pray for good weather and enjoy the show.

  • "" will be shown at the Amagansett Square's Movies on the Green series. The film starts at 8:30 p.m. will have its full menu available for an outdoor picnic. Price: Free
  • On Friday, July 27, "," will be shown at in East Hampton Village. As part of 's "Films at the Farm" series, in partnership with the , a large blow-up screen will be put on the farm lawn. Screening starts at 8:30 p.m. Raindate is July 31. Price: $5, free for those 5 and under
  • "" will be shown on Sunday, July 29, as part of 's “Surf Movie Sundays," which will be held every week, weather permitting, through Sept. 2. The restaurant will host an all-you-can-eat pre-screening BBQ at 7 p.m. for $25 per person, which includes one complimentary beer or glass of wine. Price: Free
  • On Tuesday, July 31, the commercial fishing documentary, "" will be shown at the . Tom Garber captured the work on several independent boats on Long Island, Rhode Island and Massachusetts, the film shows how fishermen survive in New England, amidst political restraints. Nancy Atlas will sing her song from the soundtrack and some other songs, from 7:30 to 8 p.m. Sunset is at 8:14 and then the movie starts at 8:30. Price: Free
  • As part of the Summer Movie Series at Indian Wells Beach, "Shark Tale" will be shown on the big screen on Wednesday, Aug. 1. Gather at the beach at 6 p.m. The movie series is hosted by the and Hamptons Drive-In. Price: Donations, which are appreciated, support the food pantry.

  • As part of the Summer Movie Series at Indian Wells Beach, "Jaws" will be shown on the big screen on Wednesday, Aug. 22. Gather at the beach at 6 p.m. The movie series is hosted by the  and Hamptons Drive-In. Price: Donations, which are appreciated, support the food pantry. 
  • Citizens for Access Rights will host an outdoor film, to be announced, at Maidstone Park in Springs on Aug. 23. The film will begin at dusk and popcorn will be sold. Price: Free for CfAR members, $5 per person for non-members.
  • The final installment of Solé East's “Surf Movie Sundays”, will be "." It begins at 7 p.m. Price: Free
