Blessing of the Fleet Happens Sunday in Montauk

It wouldn't be June in Montauk without the Blessing of the Fleet. 

The annual event for boats of all sizes and types will be held in Montauk Harbor on Sunday from 5 to 7 p.m.

Spiritual leaders from the community will say a prayer for summer season ahead. The Rev. William Hoffman, of the Montauk Community Church, and the Rev. Michael Rieder, of St. Therese of Lisieux Catholic Church, and Cantor Debra Stein, of the Jewish Center of the Hamptons, will officiate. 

So take your boat or just go and watch from the harbor. Let's have a safe boating season!
