Huge Pre-Spring Book Sale Ushers in March

What will you find at the East Hampton Library's pre-spring book sale? You never know, until you look.

I have often enjoyed rummaging through boxes of old books and LP records at thrift shops, garage sales, and library sales.  Book hunters never know what could possibly be hiding at the bottom of a large heavy box of books.  I can recall finding a copy of the book "Finchy: My Life with Peter Finch," by Yolande Finch, on a sale shelf in a Port Jefferson thrift store.  I was fascinated with his films, and learned about his turbulent life.  I can also recall finding a hard cover edition of the original script to Lindsay Anderson's 1973 film "O Lucky Man," in near mint condition.  This proves that you never know what lost literary treasures, or just fun Saturday afternoon time passers you will find going to the book sale.

The will be having a huge, pre-spring book sale on Saturday, March 3, between 10 a.m. and 4 p.m. Purchase a bag of books for $5 or carry away a box of books for only $10!  Our book sale shelves are stocked with a huge selection of art books, cookbooks, travel books, poetry, children’s books, fiction books and nonfiction books.  Bring your own bag or box; however, the library will have bags and boxes available. Come early for the best selection.
