The was held on a rainy Saturday morning in Bridgehampton, but runners turned out to help support Jordan's Initiative. The 34th annual race, organized by Dan's Papers, was also a fundraiser this year for the Sag Harbor-based non-profit foundation in memory of , who was killed in Iraq in 2008. Haerter's father started the organization to provide direct support and aide to members of our armed services and their families.
Richard Temerian, of Bridgehampton, won the race for the third year in a row, with a time of 17:27. Barbara Gubbins, of Southampton, was the first woman to cross the finish line, in 20:03.
