Boys Play in All Star Game Friday

The All Stars, 9 to 10 year olds, will be playing against the Sag Harbor All Stars on Friday at in East Hampton.

The District 36 tournament elimination game, the first pitch is at 5:45 p.m. Spectators are encouraged to come down and cheer the boys on.

Parent and assistant coach Adam Wilson said that the All Star team is comprised of players from Montauk, East Hampton, Amagansett and Springs. Tim Garneau is the manager, and Chris Britton is also an assistant coach with Wilson.

East Hampton is 2-1 so far int he double elimination tournament, having beaten the North Fork All Stars, 8-6 and the Mastic All Stars, 13-6. They fell to the East End (Westhampton) All Stars on Wednesday, 7-6.

The game against Sag Harbor is an elimination game, since Sag Harbor's team is also 2-1. "If we win tomorrow night, we will play on Saturday at 10 a.m. with the location and opponent to be determined from the other games begin played in the tournament tomorrow night," Wilson said.

The District 36 9 to 10 year old Little League tournament is made up of 15 teams east of Route 112 on Long Island.
