Renaissance Eye Productions Finds Inspiration in East Hampton

While filming "God's Favor" in East Hampton, the cast and crew enjoyed--and were inspired by--the restaurants and all the good food!

Recently, Soozy G. Miller was an extra on the film “God’s Favor,” shot in Amagansett and East Hampton Town. Soozy talked with director Ilay Ron about the shoot and his company, Renaissance Eye Productions.

Your company, Renaissance Eye Productions, is based in New York City and Paris. How did you choose Amagansett and East Hampton for your location?

Our executive producer and production designer, Kenny Davis, lives in Amagansett and suggested we shoot the film in the Hamptons. At first, we were met with a few bumps in the road, but upon meeting with the Historical Society of East Hampton I was excited to learn that they were very thrilled about us shooting there and everything moved forward beautifully. I would like to note a special thanks to Richard Baron of East Hampton Historic Village Mulford Farm, Larry Cantwell of the Village of East Hampton, Kenneth Kilfara of the Ross School drama department and sincerest gratitude to Arlene Reckson of Corcoran Real Estate, without whom none of this would have been made possible!

Unbelievable. So much for majority rule. The board forgets who they work for. They made a mockery ofRead More the democratic process. What they did was nothing different then totalitarian rule. They should be relived of their duty for not representing the people and supporting the majority rule. One can only imagine what other crooked decision making may be taking place that is contrary to the people's wishes. Shame on them! The mayer is a coward who forgets what side his bred is buttered on. The majority got him his job along with the other councilmen and they chose to turn their back on the ones who gave them a job. Bunch of arrogant, out of touch with the people, conceded morons is what they are.
