Positive Feedback on Filming from the New York Film Commission

Nassau County Film Commissioner Debra Markowitz talks about the increase in business the film and TV industries could bring to Long Island.

"The Night Never Sleeps," a new independent film by director Fred Carpenter and executive produced by Helene Schulman, has been filming UpIsland in Wantagh.

Recently, they filmed a shootout and murder scene at Guido's Irish Pub on Wantagh Avenue. Production will continue for the next few weeks; the film will be shown at film festivals and theaters during the summer of 2012.

Please note, near the end of the video, the comments by Nassau County Film Commissioner Debra Markowitz about the business film and TV productions could potentially bring to Nassau County. The same might apply to Suffolk County and the East End.
