This summer, the German TV production Network Movie will be adapting three more novels of British bestselling author Katie Fforde. While most of past and present movies are shot in New York’s Hudson Valley, one of this year’s productions will be shot in East Hampton.
Since 2009, Van Wormer, a U.S. production company, has partnered with Network Movie, one of Germany’s premiere production companies, to shoot episodes for Germany’s Katie Fforde series. These films are shown on Germany’s National television channel ZDF. It is part of their Sunday night prime time family programming. All of the stories focus on the lead character overcoming obstacles to achieve his or her dream. They are ninety minutes and without commercials. All programming is rated G and is marketed for parents to watch with their children.
