As an appropriate follow-up to my announcement of the launch of FilmTheHamptons.org, camera crews were seen filming in the area on Thursday, Feb. 2 for ABC's TV's hit show “Revenge,” which stars Emily VanCamp, Madeleine Stowe and Joshua Bowman.
The shooting permit filed for the area was the first issued for 2012. All shooting was done in East Hampton and Montauk; a crew was seen shooting from the back of a camera car. They covered Lily Pond Lane, Main Street East Hampton, and the commercial dock in Montauk. The shoot was coordinated through Jenny Landey Productions, an East Hampton production company that services the print and film industries and represents homes and properties for film, print, and events.
The 2nd Unit crew apparently came to our area to film establishing shots for the show, portraying the Hamptons in winter, and although the show isn't filmed out here, there's hope that more filming for “Revenge” will occur in the future.
