Astro's Pizza and Felice's Ristorante has been family run for over forty years. Felice Lupo who is now 87 years old has retired. The business is now run by his eldest daughter Alda Stipanov and brother Tony Lupo. Alda's husband Nado also works there full-time as the chef. And Tony's wife Allison fills-in whenever needed. In the Summer it is truly a family run business. Their children (both Stipanov & Lupo) also work there. Alda, Tony and Nado are there every day. Open to close, except if that week they are blessed with one day off. In the Summer Anthony Stipanov goes to work at 3:00 to help Nado, his father in the kitchen. At 4:00 Felice Stipanov goes to work to help at the Astro's counter and relieving Joey Lupo, who has been there all morning. Gainfelice Lupo also goes into Astro’s at 4:00 and helps makes pizzas as well. The last member is Alex Stipanov who goes in at 4:00 and he works right on the other side at Felice's as the main waiter. And they too work six long workdays.
Now, keep in mind Anthony, Gianfelice, Felice and Alex keep Astro's Pizza open until 4:00 a.m. Memorial Day through Labor Day! And that's after working a hectic day.
So after forty years of hard work, here's the question? What can we do to improve our services? I truly believe everything in life could also some kind of improvement. So kindly share your comments, thoughts, suggestions or recommendations. Is there anything that would make your dining experience, as Felice's more enjoyable? Or some new slice you've heard of tried and loved and would like to recommend for us to make? We are part of the community and we need to hear the community’s thoughts.
In case you don't know who I am, I'm Sofia Marques-Stipanov. You can consider me the “newbie” of the family. And this “newbie” does not work at the family business.
