YouTube Video Raises Concerns about Teen Nights -- Again

In 2005, the Halloween Teen Night ended with two stabbed and one arrested.

Once again, Teen Nights at are being called into question.

According to 27East, a “very inappropriate video of girls from dancing at a Halloween party at the Lily Pond nightclub in East Hampton on Friday" surfaced on YouTube. Principal Adam Fine said the the video, which he called "exploitive" was not accessible to the public on Wednesday, but just two days before it was there for all to see.

Only 14- through 17-year-olds are allowed to attend the events at Lily Pond Lane, and no alcohol is served, but Mr. Fine described the environment as “very, very dangerous.” There is a large “mixed bag of kids,” some of whom might drink before attending, and male employees in their mid-20s who could be seen “gawking” at 15-year-old girls on the video, Mr. Fine said.

Teen Nights have been raising concerns for years. During the weekend before Halloween in 2005, a 14-year-old boy and a 16-year-old boy were stabbed by another 16-year-old boy with a folding knife after a Teen Night at Resort, Lily Pond's predecessor. The location of the incident was a subject of debate; police said it happened in the parking lot while the managers said it happened off premises.
