Two High School Students Receive Hispanic Heritage Awards
Seniors were chosen for their academic achievement and commitment to the community.
Tania Uruchima and Maryolin Perez were named East Hampton High School's recipients of this year’s Hispanic Heritage Month Award for their academic achievement and commitment to the community.
"Hispanic Heritage month is an annual nationwide observance of the many contributions that Hispanics make to our community, our economy and our society," according to Principal Adam Fine. "Suffolk County is fortunate to have the largest suburban Hispanic population in New York State."
Uruchima and Perez are both seniors.
