Principal Thanks Community for Coming out in Force for Homecoming

Adam Fine notes those that made the day possible, including custodians and grounds crew.

East Hampton High School's Homecoming celebration proved expectations correct — it really seemed to be the biggest and best yet.

East Hampton High School principal Adam Fine estimated that between 3,000 and 4,000 watched the Bonackers trounce the Southampton Mariners in a 42-7 Division IV victory Saturday night under the lights.

Fine said he believes a total of 5,000 people came out throughout the day between the inaugural Bonac Hall of Fame induction ceremony on Saturday morning, then the carnival and bonfire before the big game.

"I wanted to personally thank our community for a wonderful 2012 Homecoming celebration," Fine said on Monday. "I also wanted to thank the staff of East
Hampton High School, specifically the custodians, grounds crew, and our
awesome students."
