Pre-K, Kindergarten Registration Open

Find out how to sign your little ones up for school.

Depending on what school district you live in, your child could be eligible for public pre-kindergarten as young as 3 years old. All children must be 5 years old on or before Dec. 1, 2013 in order to attend Kindergarten. Check out your school district's offerings for pre-kindergarten and kindergarten registration:

East Hampton School District is handling kindergarten registration only, while the East Hampton Learning Day Care Center handles pre-kingergarten registration. Kindergarten registration will take place at John Marshall Elementary School on March 20 from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. and March 21 from 1 to 6 p.m. Registration packets are available from Amanda Hayes beforehand or on the registration days. Parents must bring the child's birth certificate or Passport, a copy of their immunization record, and proof of residency. If you own, you have to bring a tax bill, and if you rent, you have to bring a lease agreement.

If your child is currently enrolled in Springs School Pre-K, they will graduate into kindergarten and parents will not need to complete the registration packet (Residences must be updated). Complete residence verification instructions are available on the homepage. The first parent orientation meeting will be held on May 23 at 6:30 p.m. Kindergarten screening will be held by appointment on June 6. Pre-K registration information is available here.
