The program was run with the help of East Hampton Town police Officer Kim Notel.

Montauk School's 5th Graders celebrated their D.A.R.E. Graduation on Friday with a ceremony featuring a public service video, poems, skits, a poster winner announcement, and the performance of the D.A.R.E. song.

In addition, guest speaker East Hampton Town police Lt. Chris Hatch congratulated the students and provided words of encouragement and inspiration for the future.

Throughout the school year, Officer Kim Notel has guided the students through the drug, violence, and a bully prevention curriculum. She was supported by fifth grade teachers Sue Nicoletti and John Cossentino, as well as music teacher Steve Skoldberg, and school Superintendent Jack Perna.
