UPDATED: School Board Race in Springs, Amagansett; Not in East Hampton

Deadline for nominating petitions was on Monday.

The ballots won't be quite as crowded as they were in s, but there are a few races around East Hampton area school districts this year. 

Votes will be held on May 15.

In Springs, two men will vie for one seat on the Board of Education. John Grant, who has been on the board three years, will run against Dennis Donatuti, a former principal, according to district clerk Fran Silipo.

On the  Board for 10 years, Mary Lownes is looking to keep her seat. has also declared her candidacy, according to Cheryl Bloecker, the district clerk.

Over in Sag Harbor, school district clerk Mary Adamczyk said three candidates are running for two seats. They are Gregg Schiavoni and Walter Wilcoxen and Thomas Gleeson.

In , there are just two people running for two seats, district clerk Kerri Stevens said. School board president Laura Anker-Grossman, whose term is up at the end of June, is not one of them. 

, who was appointed to the board after in July 2011, will run for the position. She came in third for two seats in the May 2011 election. Christina DeSanti, a mother with two children in the school district, has also filed a nominating petition. 

David Eagan handed in his nominating petition to run for re-election in . 's seat was left vacant , so there are two positions open. Kelly Anderson, a parent of two children in the district, is also running, according to district clerk Mary McCaffrey. 

In , Kelly White is up for re-election and will look to keep her seat. Grace Lightcap, the district clerk, said Lee White also turned in a nominating petition, but withdrew it on Tuesday morning.
