In early March, students sat for the National Latin Exam, which was taken by about 148,000 others worldwide. Principal Adam Fine announced on Monday that 46 Latin students took the exam in East Hampton.
Erik Hamer, their Latin teacher, said the following 23 students won an award, and about 60 percent scored the national average or above.
