Former AD, Coach Among Second Group of Inductees to Bonac Hall of Fame

The 2013 Bonac Hall of Fame Class will be inducted during Homecoming weekend in October.

There is a new class of inductees waiting in the wings for the 2013 Bonac Hall of Fame.

An induction ceremony will be held on the morning of East Hampton high School Homecoming on Oct. 12, following a breakfast, according to Jim Nicoletti, the chairman of the board formed to establish the East Hampton High School hall of fame. The football team will play Southampton under the lights and the inductees will be announced before the game that evening.

There were 60 nominees this year. Those who were not chosen will continue to be considered for 10 years, Nicolletti said. "This is really an outstanding group which represents many eras, as well as sports and the committee did an outstanding job in electing this class.  I am very proud of them and the work that we did selecting this years class to be inducted," he said.

The inaugural ceremony in September 2012 drew over 400 people. Of the 15 inducted, 12 were former high school athletes — including professional baseball player Ross Gload and basketball legends (and brothers) Howard Wood and Kenny Woods — two were coaches, one was an honorary member, Jack Graves, the longtime sports editor at The East Hampton Star . Two teams were also inducted.
