Paul Goldberger, Pulitzer Prize-winning architecture critic and writer for Vanity Fair will host a panel with Robert Hammond, Co-Founder and Executive Director of Friends of the High Line; Leslie Koch, President of The Trust for Governors Island; Joe Rose, Partner of the Georgetown Group and former Chairman of the New York City Planning Commission and Director of the Department of City Planning under Mayor Rudolph W. Giuliani.

Steve Kroft60 Minutes correspondent, will talk with Senator Kirsten Gillibrand on the “state of play” in Congress and in the 2012 elections.  They will consider prospects for post-election bipartisan cooperation.

Kati Marton, bestselling author and human rights activist, will discuss women as peacemakers and drivers of prosperity with 2011 Nobel Laureate Leymah Gbowee, a Liberian peace activist responsible for leading a women’s peace movement that brought an end to the Second Liberian Civil War in 2003, and Dina Powell, President of the Goldman Sachs Foundation and Global Head of Corporate Engagement.

Joe Nocera, Op-Ed columnist for The New York Times, will discuss the future of the American economy with Emil Henry, Managing Partner and Managing Director of Tiger Infrastructure and Former Assistant Secretary of Financial Institutions, U.S. Treasury Department under George W. Bush; and Cyrus Amir-Mokri, the current Assistant Secretary for Financial Institutions, U.S. Treasury Department under President Obama. 

4:00 pm-5:30 pm          The Education Center at Guild Hall: Pollock/Krasner House & Study Center Annual Lecture “Forensic Connoisseurship, Jackson Pollock, and the Authentic Eye” with Francis V. O'Connor, Ph.D

Against a backdrop of multi-million dollar lawsuits and tarnished reputations, Dr. O'Connor will dissect the fine art of authenticating fine art. The foremost expert on Jackson Pollock, co-editor of the artist's Catalogue Raisonné, and a former member of the now-defunct Pollock-Krasner Authentication Board, he is uniquely qualified to expose the inner workings of this arcane and often controversial process.
