GREAT CHEFS AT OLD WHALERS'
Celebrate spring when Great Chefs at Old Whalers' resumes with local chef Kei Yoshino. Chef Kei, executive chef at Sen on Main Street in Sag Harbor, along with interpreter Jesse Matsueoka, will demonstrate how to make sushi rolls and fillet a whole fish. He will make a classic Japanese clear broth and a grilled white fish (whatever is freshest in the market that day) served with long grain rice and a medley of Asian vegetables. A surprise dessert will be prepared especially for the class. There will also be a tasting of two or three varieties of sake, and wine and water will be served throughout the program. Space is limited. Reserve in advance by calling Lillian, 631-553-6515, and pay at the door by cash, check or credit card. Proceeds benefit the Community House Fund at Old Whalers', a special fund established to maintain the facilities used by many community groups that serve several hundred people each week. Contributions to the Community House Fund are tax deductible.
