"Built for Learning: The Hook School House & Late 18th Century Schooling"

As part of the Winter Lecture 2011 Series, Director of historic Services for East Hampton Village Bob Hefner and Trustee Mary Busch will present "Built for Learning: The Hook School House & Late 18th Century Schooling." It will spotlight one of the most recent acquisitions by the East Hampton Historical Society. Hefner will talk about its discovery and move to behind the Town House Museum, while Busch will speak about how children were educated from the 1760s to the 1840s. A collection of items used in the school. Reservations are requested.
