East Hampton Teachers Raise $250 During 'Janu-Hairy'

Things got a little hairy in January as teachers raised funds for local charities.

Things got a little hairy in East Hampton lately as some teachers went the extra mile for a good cause.

At East Hampton Middle School, what started as "Manuary" later became "Human-uary," and this year, evolved into "Janu-Hairy."

According to the school district, the idea was the brainchild of special ed teacher Claude "Sasquatch" Beudert and Jon "Cousin It" Mautschke; this year's no-shave month saw 25 staff participating districtwide, and over $250 raised for local charities.
