East Hampton Day Care Throws Down a Thanksgiving Feast

Over 100 students, teachers, and East Hampton officials got a head-start on the holiday with a lavish luncheon.

East Hampton Day Care Learning Center kicked off the holiday season early with a Thanksgiving feast for nearly 125 people on Wednesday .

The 104 day care students -- toddlers to 4 year olds -- were joined by East Hampton Village Mayor Paul F. Rickenbauch, Jr., East Hampton School District Superintendent Ray Gualtieri, and Assistant Superintendent Charles Soriano. Everyone ate family-style.

The lunch began with a turkey song, followed by turkey with all the trimmings.  Mary Carter and her assistant chef Latoya Spearman cooked four large birds for the occassion.
