East Hampton Boys Soccer Celebrate First Ever Suffolk Championship

Team beat defending state champs with just 35 seconds left in regulation.

varsity boys soccer has won its first ever county championship on Thursday night.

According to 27East, senior captain Mario Olaya scored, off an assist, from J.C. Barrientos with just 35 seconds remaining in regular play to win 2 to 1 over Sayville at Dowling College in Shirley.

Sayville was the defending state championship team.

East Hampton will square off against Jericho High School, which won the Nassau County championship, for the Long Island title at Adelphi University on Sunday at 4 p.m.
