Cyndi Lauper To Headline 10th Annual Starlight Gala

Live @ Club Starlight raises approximately $700,000 for the school.

Cyndi Lauper, a Grammy Award winning singer-songwriter whose career has spanned three decades, will perform at the 10th annual Live @ Club Starlight fundraiser for the Ross School.

The benefit, held at the East Hampton campus on June 1, raises money for Ross School programs and scholarships, including the Steven J. Ross Scholarship Fund, in honor of the school's late co-founder. The fund, established in 1991 at the school's inception by Ross and his wife Courtney Sale Ross, granted financial assistance to over 35 percent of Ross School students during the 2012–13 academic year.

The gala is by far the school's largest fundraiser, raising approximately $700,000.

The model Christie Brinkley, a Bridgehampton resident and Ross parent, is the gala chair.

A red carpet arrival, cocktail reception and silent auction kicks off the evening, followed by Lauper's performance. Lauper made her Broadway debut as a composer with "Kinky Boots," a musical that opened earlier this month.

Tickets are currently on sale, including for a VIP lounge area or table, which go up to $50,000 and can include a private server, champagne toast, premium wine, and top shelf vodka. Individual tickets for Ross families are $375 or $625 for those not associated with the school.

Those interested in tickets may visit the school's website or call 631-907-5214.

Update: The school initially released figures for the 2011-12 year with regards to the scholarship fund. School officials later released a figure for the 2012-13 school year, and that update was included in the story above.
