Ross School Gallery Presents Student-Curated Exhibit Featuring Artists Paton Miller and Kryn Olson

The Ross School Gallery presents a student-curated exhibit, "Radiance of The East and The West," featuring artists Paton Miller and Kryn Olson.

Radiance of The East and The West is the title of the new exhibition in The Ross Gallery, the most recent in its series of student-curated exhibitions highlighting the work of professional artists from the East End community. Curated by Ross School seventh graders under the direction of their art teacher Jon Mulhern, the show features work by Paton Miller and Kryn Olson. An Opening Reception hosted by the seventh grade will be held on Friday, May 25 from 4 to 6pm. The public is invited, and refreshments will be served.

Each year, Ross seventh graders curate an exhibition, from start to finish. They visit artists’ studios, select work for the installation, organize publicity, build a website and produce a catalogue. They also participate in hands-on workshops with the artists. The students’ own artwork, inspired by the time they spent with each artist, is also showcased in the gallery.

Paton Miller and Kryn Olson are unique artists who create bold, colorful artworks inspired by nature and their various travels around the world. Ms. Olson’s paintings draw from her experiences in the American Southwest, while Mr. Miller’s work reflects his travels in various places including Mexico, Greece and Iran.
