East Hampton's Best: Chicken Wings

Wings are more than appetizers; they are bone-sucking goodness. Which joint makes the best? Time to weigh in.

Do you like them crispy or naked? Hot and spicy or lip-smacking sweet? We’re talking wings, of course.

Chicken wings are a staple in any culture and they have a place on the menus of nearly every restaurant, pub or take-out joint.

Time to weigh in. East Hampton Patch is looking to unearth the best wings in town. East Hampton's Best is a new weekly feature where we’re asking you – our readers – to tell us your top picks.

Each Monday we’ll list our nominees – this week it’s wings – and ask for your recommendation. Did we leave your go-to spot off the list? Go ahead and add it in comments.

Wednesday we’ll narrow the field, taking your recommendations to put to a vote in the ultimate food-fight poll.

Friday afternoon we’ll announce a winner.

Here are the nominees for East Hampton's best wings (remember, Montauk to Wainscott):

Now tell us who has the best wings in the Town of East Hampton. Do it in comments below.

On Facebook, Sarah Malone said Michael's has the best. Sam Lester agreed: "Michaels without a question. Luis doesn't always have them on the menu so Just ask him." He also said, "Tavern in amagansett use to make "scotty wings" they were pretty good as well." Then Sarah said, "I agree Taverns are good as well." Karen L. Bennett said, Towline BBQ (But that's outside of East Hampton Town -- Southampton Patch will surely have them on their list come Wednesday).
