What's Your Image of Artistic East Hampton? Competition for Creative Logo Announced

On May 12th, 2014 The East Hampton Arts Council, a town government advisory board on the arts, has announced a competition for the the local creative community to submit their designs for a first-ever council logo.

The winning design will become the representative image for the stationary, announcements and business graphics including the website also for use on social media.

Designs should feature the name "East Hampton Arts Council" or "EHAC" and be representative of the spirit of the arts community in East Hampton.

The winner, chosen by the council, will receive a prize of a $100 gift certificate to The Golden Eagle and recognition on our website.

Everyone is encouraged to participate, both amateurs and professionals. All entries must be sent in JPG files, no larger than 300 mb, before Friday, June 27th to easthamptonartscouncil@gmail.com.

Please include "logo contest submission" in the subject line.

The East Hampton Arts Council is a local organization founded to advise and assist the Town of East Hampton on issues pertaining to the performing and visual arts. The Town of East Hampton formally recognized the Council by passing a resolution on June 20, 2013. The Council consists of Co-Chairs Kate Mueth, actor, director and founder and

artistic director of the dance theater company The Neo-Political Cowgirls and

award-winning visual artist Jane Martin serve as government liaison. The board will include seven to twelve individuals appointed by the Town Board each year.
