Village Meets Monday Due To Fourth of July Holiday

Village will discuss police department mapping system and Gingerbread Lane traffic issues.

The East Hampton Village Board will me convening for its monthly work session a little early due to the Fourth of July holiday. The board will meet on Monday at 11 a.m., instead of Thursday.  The meeting also serves as the organizational meeting for the new fiscal year. 

Below is the board's agenda for the meeting:

AGENDA

1.  Set regular monthly meeting date of the Board of Trustees for the 3rd Friday and work sessions to be held Thursday of each month at 11:00 A.M. to be held at the Emergency Services Building, 1 Cedar St.

2.  Authorize payment in advance of audit claims for public utility services, postage, freight and express Charges, medical insurance premiums and employee reimbursements for the 2013-14 fiscal year.

3.  Approve non-contract employee and appointed officers salary schedule (effective August 1, 2013), committees, official depositories, official newspaper and professional consultants

4.    Re-appoint Philip O’Connell and Mark Butler as members of the Planning Board, terms to expire July 

5.    Re-Appoint Stuyvesant Wainwright III, Carolyn Preische, Robert Caruso, C. Sherrill Dayton, Bruce A.T. Siska and Rose Brown as members of the Design Review Board, with term to expire July 2015.

6.    Appoint Craig Humphrey (formerly an alternate) as member of the Zoning Board of Appeals, term to expire July 2016.

7.   Appoint Ray Harden as an alternate member of the Zoning Board of Appeals, term to expire July 2018.

8.    Appoint Chairpersons to Boards (1 year terms):

  • Carolyn Preische, Design Review Board Vice-Chairperson 
  • Stuyvesant Wainwright III, Design Review Board Chairperson
  • Philip O’Connell as Planning Board Chairperson 
  • Donald Hunting as Vice-Chairperson
  • Frank Newbold, Zoning Board of Appeals Chairperson
  • Lysbeth A. Marigold, Zoning Board of Appeals Vice-Chairperson
9.    Re-appoint Richard Roberts, Pam Bennett & Rabbi Sheldon Zimmerman as members of Ethics Board, and appoint Richard Roberts as Chairman, effective August 1, 2013 for a term of one year.

10.  Appoint Susan Steckowski as Registrar at an annual salary of $1,000 and Linda Beyer as Deputy Registrar at $600.

11.  Re-appoint Hugh R. King as Village Historian at no additional compensation.

12.  Adjourn July 19, 2013 at 11:00 a.m. at the Emergency Services Building (August 1, 2013 meeting will not be held). The meeting & notice meeting (to close the fiscal year) to be held on Wednesday, July 31.

13.  Approve agreement with Lester Ross, Lighting Consultant, at an hourly rate of $100.00 for the term of September 25, 2013 – August 31, 2014 (no increase from last year).

14.  Notice to bidders for the #2 fuel oil and as needed furnace maintenance and repair, with the bid opening to be held on Monday, July 22, 2013, at 2:00 p.m. at Village Hall.

15.   Notice to bidders for Power-Load system for the Ambulance Association, with the bid opening to be held on Monday, July 22, 2013 at 2:00 p.m. at Village Hall.

16.  Approve $2,584.03 payment to Primetime Trucking & Transportation Inc. for excavator rental and transporting Georgica Pond dredging/phragmites) spoils to Brookhaven Landfill.

17. Employ Ryan McIntyre and Edward McIntyre as substitute lifeguards for the 2013 season, effective retroactively to June 22, at the hourly rate of $18.00 (please refer to June 20
