Village Incumbents Uncontested for June Election

No challengers submitted nominating petitions by Tuesday's deadline.

The ballots are set for next month's East Hampton Village election and there are no challengers.

East Hampton Village Administrator Larry Cantwell said on Wednesday that only the incumbents had submitted nominating petitions, which were due in on Tuesday.

Mayor Paul F. Rickenbach, , will seek another four-year term. Deputy Mayor and Trustee Richard T. Lawler are also asking voters for another term. Bruce A. Siska, who was appointed last year when David Brown resigned, will look to be re-elected to fill Brown's unexpired term of two years.

They will all run on the Hook Mill party line.

The election will be held on June 19 between 12:00 and 9 p.m. in the Emergency Services Building at 1 Cedar Street in East Hampton Village.

Cantwell said the village will use the new voting machines provided by the Suffolk County Board of Elections.
